Built by People Who Lived the Problem
Fifteen years inside component and specialty manufacturing. Two founders. One platform.
Where It Started
In 2006, Kenneth Sewell joined Baker Drywall as Director of Technology. He experienced the chaos of the bid process firsthand, spreadsheets, email threads, and project status living exclusively in people's heads.
He left in 2011 to join a mid-sized ERP and business process consulting firm, where he met David Dozer. Together, they traveled North America working with manufacturers trying to scale using tools that were never designed for bid-to-build workflows.
David moved to Texas in 2018. In 2023, they founded Cadynce Software together.

The Insight That Changed Everything
During COVID lockdowns in 2020, they kept returning to two questions: "Why is the bid process still this broken?" and "What happens when AI comes for estimating?"
Speed without structure doesn't solve the problem, it multiplies it.
More estimates, faster, flowing into a broken process is not progress. That is more chaos arriving sooner. Cadynce was designed to give manufacturers the structure to absorb that speed.
"We have over 15 years of historical bid data just sitting around in file cabinets. We have been waiting for someone to come and help us make sense of it all."

Deep Industry Roots
The early days were hard. Both founders worked full-time day jobs. Progress was slow. Development costs added up. Early versions were buggy, and the entire database had to be scrapped and rebuilt.
But they kept showing up, to manufacturing floors, industry conferences, and customer offices, listening to the people who lived this problem every day.
Eventually, they sold their first customer. Then a second. Word spread.

What We Believe
- ✓AI is already changing this industry, faster estimating is not a competitive advantage, it is a stress test.
- ✓Teams that adopt AI without the structure to support it don't get ahead, they get overwhelmed faster.
- ✓Manufacturers deserve real visibility into their bid process.
- ✓Speed should come from clarity, not heroics.
- ✓Historical bid data buried in file cabinets is not dead weight, it is the foundation for smarter decisions.
- ✓The manufacturers who will lead this industry are not the ones who adopted AI first, they are the ones who built a process worthy of it.
